Based in Sooke, BC, Salish Sky Droneworks was founded from a lifelong passion for UAV technology and the limitless perspective it offers. My journey with drones began in 2011, when small hobby quadcopters first became available. From the moment I took flight, I was hooked. With a deep interest in photography, I spent every opportunity exploring new ways to capture the world from above — building what would become over a thousand hours of flight experience.

In April 2025, a severe motorcycle accident changed the course of my life, leaving me without the use of my right arm and resulting in the loss of my right leg. After many years in construction and maintenance, I knew it was time to take my experience and channel it into something new. My long-standing background with UAVs made that next step clear — to turn passion into profession.

Today, despite physical challenges, I now walk on two feet again and I continue to fly with the same focus, precision, and enthusiasm that first inspired me. Salish Sky Droneworks is a reflection of that commitment — combining technical skill, creative vision, and resilience to deliver professional aerial mapping and imaging across Vancouver Island.
